The Appointment Process
Consultation
A review of relative medical history, health concerns and any recent aesthetic treatments will be held. The procedure(s) that you have booked will be explained to you in detail along with their healing processes and aftercare. An allergy patch test will be performed. Ella will answer any and as many questions that you may have.
If you have had any permanent makeup done by another artist previously, Ella will analyse any corrective work that may be required to the colour or shape.
A Consultation-only appointment is highly recommended for individuals with health concerns. This can be held virtually or in person. The cost of this appointment can be deducted from the final booking should you go ahead with the treatment. The consultation must relate to the treatment that you book in order to redeem the fee.
Facial Analysis & Mapping
For brow treatments ‘Brow mapping’ will be done. This is a shaping technique that uses the golden ratio for facial proportions to help achieve symmetry and sculpt the most flattering shape for your brows. Mapping will also be done for Eyeliner.
For lips Ella will precisely outline the lip line, perfecting symmetry and definition. Permanent lipliner should never be overdrawn but occasionally our natural lip colour fades before meeting the natural lip line, therefore when the lip pigment is also applied to this area your lips will naturally appear bigger.
Ella will then artistically analyse your face and features, ensuring that the treatment truly enhances your beauty and perfectly harmonises with the rest of your face. Once you are happy with this visualisation of the results Ella will move onto starting the procedure.
The Procedure
Once you are comfortably reclined and topical anaesthetic has been applied to the area, Ella will unseal a new, single-use, sterile needle for your treatment and commence the procedure.
The procedures are not painful, most clients describe it as a ‘scratchy’ feeling and if and when the numbing cream starts to wear off Ella will top you up. It is generally speaking a relaxing process requiring 1-3 hours work. You’ll have a good chat or a good snooze during the process (of course there is no chatting if you are getting your lips done) the atmosphere is always relaxing and chilled.

Aftercare
Immediately following the procedure expect some swelling and redness for about 24 hours. The treated area should be kept clean, and no makeup should be applied for several days. Some skin peeling and colour lightening is totally normal.
Your new Permanent Makeup can take 4 to 10 days to heal. It is important that you follow the Aftercare instructions that Ella will provide very carefully. The healing process is a 2-4 week journey, depending on the treatment. You will see Ella for your free touch up appointment 4-6 weeks later.
You must not drink coffee the morning of your appointment.
